How it all began

It all began with a few of us coming together and asking ourselves what we could do to move the needle on gender balance, not only for ourselves, but also for our daughters and grand daughters. We were emboldened by the impact created by a project to promote entrepreneurship amongst women. This Project - Project All India Roadshow for Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship (AIRSWEEE) was an extremely impactful program lead by Ms. Seema Chaturvedi as Chairperson and executed under the aegis of TiE Global, a global not for profit fostering entrepreneurship. Our funding institution - the US State Department deemed it so impactful that the project received an unprecedented six consecutive rounds of funding to grow the program. Four years later, the program had directly impacted 575 women entrepreneurs in 106 cities in 20 states in India. These women further impact 3,000+ and growing number of additional women. The ripple effect was MASSIVE. It became the inspiration for creating this community.
