Promoting Rural Women Entrepreneurs
We partnered with Foundation of Rural Entrepreneurs Development (FREND) in India to mentor Internet Saathis - digitally literate rural women in India who were now keen to become micro-entrepreneurs.
We have many success stories, including one entrepreneurs who is now exporting Lemon Grass Oil from a village in Maharashtra to California.
Promoting Women Entrepreneurs.
Our Principals were instrumental in founding a Program with TiE (www.tie.org) to promote women entrepreneurship in Tie 2, 3 cities in india called Project AIRSWEEE (All India Roadshow for Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship), which received s unprecedented 6 rounds of funding from the US STate Department. After 4 years, the program helped 575 women in 106 cities in 20 states in India and helped these women through START UP, SCALE UP and GLOBAL phases of an enterprise.
